Training Overview

Optical communication — transmitting light waves through fiber optic cables — continues to be the foundation for providing high-speed broadband services to consumers. Whether the network is entirely fiber-optic or mostly fiber-based, fiber optics is at its core. To acknowledge its foundational prominence in our industry, we offer a PON training.

The PON training comprehensively covers all aspects of the PON technology with focus on XGS-PON. Hereby the fundamentals of the architecture, the customers ONT/ONU provisioning process, security issues and their solutions, quality of service, management and much more are explained. This being an excellent starting point for people new to the real technical subjects and protocol level within PON.

  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding of the ideas
    behind the PON recommendations
  • Understand the most important key issues and advantages of a PON deployment
  • After attending this course, the attendee will be capable of understanding the PON architecture and concepts
