Introduction to EuroDOCSIS 2.0
OVERVIEW
With file sharing applications and teleworking becoming increasingly popular, the need for higher upstream capacity in cable networks is increasing rapidly. To provide an answer to the need for symmetrical services DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 2.0 has been developed based on the already existing DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 1.0 and 1.1 standard.
The standard provides a significant increase in upstream capacity through improved robustness so that higher-order modulations can be used.
The course provides an in-depth knowledge of all PHY and MAC features of EuroDOCSIS 2.0. Next to the benefits of EuroDOCSIS 2.0 for operators, it covers the details of the A-TDMA and S-CDMA technology, the concept of logical channels, and the compatibility with earlier EuroDOCSIS standards.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
- Achieve a comprehensive understanding of the basic ideas behind the EuroDOCSIS 2.0 specification.
- Understand the most important key issues, advantages and possibilities when using EuroDOCSIS 2.0 in your cable network.
- Benefit from the hands-on experience of the Excentis’ EuroDOCSIS certification testing.
